Our Partners

The PHBC seeks to work together with organisations across the community. Some of our partnerships have included:


Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations service providers partner  PHBC as a host for Work Experience Programs.

City of Sydney council helped with a kick-start funding package for Youth mentoring projects started in 2006.

TAFE Outreach Petersham and Ultimo colleges have developed partner youth programs with the club.

UTS Shopfront Final year UTS Design students designed the club's logo and first website, and Business students developed a comprehensive Organisational Development Document for the club.

Glebe Youth Centre members have taken part in boatmanship programs.

Sydney Secondary Colleges students from Leichhardt, Balmain and Blackwattle Bay sail and maintain club vessels as part of school programs.

Leichhardt Municipal Council facilitated participation of youth at risk in the club's sail training programs.

Maybanke Youth Centre, Pyrmont and Green Square School have participated in Introduction to Boat Handling programs.

Youth Off The Streets have used club vessels for programs for youth at risk.

Local Maritime Businesses including tug boat companies and pontoon manufacturers, have at times generously assisted with moving vessels.

NSW Maritime and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority for many years supported the club's operation from the Anzac Bridge site in Pyrmont.

Sydney Heritage Fleet have cooperated with the club in developing mentor programs, and were an inspiration in the club's formative years.

The Tribal Warrior Association were also an inspiration in the club's formative years.

Salvation Army refer clients to the club's boat restoration and sailing programs.

Miroma / Inala  MyAbility service providers partner PHBC through our Environmental Warriors the Pirates of Plastic.  This crew of pirates use our vessels to pick up plastic from our waterways.
